The flash of a colorful flag ... light reflecting off silver sabers ... necks craned high counting revolutions of wooden rifles. This is the Color Guard -- a performance art form that combines elements of music, dance and military precision marching. The Color Guard spins, tosses and flips equipment in performance with the Marching Band in the fall. Winterguard season follows, with members performing in competitions around the state -- and the nation! The color guard welcomes anyone who wants to audition!
